ACMA goes on the road: Songwriters at Sunset returns Jan. 2

The Americana Community Music Association goes on the road four times in January. The four shows are free and and include Songwriters at Sunset at Lovers Key State Park Jan. 2, Songwriters at South County Library in Estero Jan. 11; Songwriters on the Plaza in downtown Fort Myers Jan. 14; and Songwriters at Captiva Library Jan. 29.
FOLKS (Friends of Lovers Key, Inc.) has joined with the ACMA to offer free acoustic concerts of all original music at the state park just south of Fort Myers Beach. The concerts will take place in the large gazebo located right on the beach. Seating is available for the first 80 people. Additional seating is also available on the sand.
Show starts 3:45 p.m. Come early to enjoy a variety of the local food trucks. Park entry fee is $8 per vehicle (2-8 people), and $4 for single person in vehicle.
The first Songwriters at Sunset of 2020 will be on Thursday, Jan. 2 and feature fiddler and songwriter J.Robert and guitarist and songwriter Brent Moyer.
The ACMA’s Songwriters at South County Library in Estero will be Jan. 11 at 2 p.m. and feature Glen Sabatka, David Stanley and Christine Scholtus. This concert will be indoors.
The Songwriters on the Plaza is at the library in downtown Fort Myers on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 6 p.m. This outdoor show will be moved inside depending on the weather. The January concert features Robert Bidney, Annie Wenz and Mary Dahl.
The month ends with Songwriters at Captiva Memorial Library on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. featuring the talents of Bill Metts and David Hintz.
