The Americana Community Music Association, Fort Myer’s home for original Americana music, is resuming live music concerts with a new and expanded schedule.
The ACMA provides a venue for local and touring artists, many of whom are award-winning performers in the Americana/Folk Community.
Their shows at All Faiths Unitarian Congregation are in a quiet, intimate setting with every show a meet and greet with the artists. At the new Alliance for the Arts venue, the shows are in an outdoor setting adding to the ambience of the music with a meet and greet after the show.
For the last year, the ACMA pivoted to live streaming, Zoom and YouTube shows in order to continue the mission of providing quality Americana music to the community during the global pandemic. They will continue to livestream the new Feed Florida benefit shows hosted by Kim Mayfield. These shows benefit the Harry Chapin Food Bank. The popular “get to know the musician” Podcast started by Fran Snyder of The Listening Room Network will continue under the leadership of ACMA member musician Bill Veach.
The ACMA also announced that the singer-songwriter circle will continue to be unbroken as they return to the All Faiths Unitarian Congregation location for in person circles every other week as of June 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. and lead by Gene Martin and David Hintz.
The circle is for acoustic songwriters of all levels.
Original songs and experiences are shared in a non-judgmental, casual atmosphere. No membership or donations required. All are welcome to come and play or listen. The circle is held at All Faiths Unitarian Congregation, 2756 McGregor Blvd, Fort Myers.
The ACMA@Alliance is held at Alliance for the Arts, 10091 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers.
