Join Arts for ACT Gallery, located at 2265 First St. in downtown Fort Myers on Friday, June 5 from 11a.m. to 5 p.m. for the opening reception for “BEEcause” group exhibit in the main gallery and in the White Gallery, a memorial retrospective for Joel Loeper.

“BEEcause” is a group exhibit that was open to all artists in SW Florida.  Expect to see two and three dimensional works in an array of media.  The artists have used their imagination and creativity to express the theme.

The main purpose of the exhibit is to spread awareness of the significance of bees and other pollinators for our survival. Bees provide food security, sustain farming and income, biodiversity and environmental protection…let’s celebrate BEES…make me some bee art!

Joel Loeper

In the White Gallery – Joel Loeper a Memorial Retrospective

Joel Loeper, a painter and sculptor of all living things, except Vincent Van Gogh.  Joel Loeper was a much respected and well known painter and sculptor in the Southwest Florida area.  He recently lost his battle with brain cancer.  But before he passed, he made sure that all of his art was donated to Arts for ACT Gallery for them to raise money for ACT Shelter.  ACT Gallery has a plethora of paintings ranging from farm animals, to monkeys and gorillas to his beloved Van Gogh’s and more.

This exhibit continues to Monday, June 29.
