Alisha Morgan in Capital Gallery at SBDAC

The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center’s Capital Gallery (upstairs) will feature an exhibit called Spectrum of Nature by artist Alisha Morgan.
Opening night will be during Fort Myers Art Walk on May 5 from 6 – 10 p.m. including music under the stars with DJ JC 7 – 11 p.m. at Sidney’s Rooftop Sculpture Garden.
Represented in several private collections, featured artist Alisha Morgan finds painting a meditative process, a zen and an all-powerful life force, full of joy and possessing freedom unlike anything else. Morgan allows her heart to express itself through the use of colors, shapes, and textures unable to be conveyed through finite language alone.
She engages with multiple layers of abstraction on both canvas and wood panels, a very time-consuming process. Morgan’s art is inspired by the world around her – the darkness and light that encompasses the very life she leads. Her art reflects the gratitude she feels for her nature travels around the globe, and for the opportunities she has had to discover and forge meaningful relationships with the people she meets. Born and raised in Dorn Assenheim, Germany, Morgan currently resides in Atlanta. Her exhibit will run to May 25.
