The Alliance for the Arts (AFTA) announced its annual fundraiser Arts on Tap, featuring a live outdoor concert by Florida native JJ Grey & Mofro. This year’s event will take place on Dec. 1 and includes local craft beer, breweries and food trucks.
Both longtime fans and those about to become dedicated followers of JJ Grey should purchase tickets early as Arts on Tap will sell out. Certain to be a memorable night, this event is only made better knowing that proceeds from Arts on Tap fund the Alliance’s programs, which ensure access to the arts for Lee County throughout the year.
JJ Grey & Mofro is an American Southern soul-rock band from Jacksonville, Florida. Their first studio album Blackwater was released in 2001 is full of songs inspired by the surroundings of where JJ Grey grew up. The band later went on to produce six other albums, the latest one being 2015’s Ol’ Glory. JJ Grey & Mofro’s music has been described as a combination of blues, funk, soul, and rock.
Pre-sale tickets for the event are now on sale to Alliance members. Individual memberships are $55 and are available at artinlee.org/membership. A limited number of VIP tickets are available at $150. VIP includes reserved seating for the outdoor concert, indoor restrooms, unlimited local craft beer tasting, cash bar, food.
General admission tickets are $85 and include access to local craft beer, food trucks and open lawn seating. General admission guests are asked to bring their own chairs.
Tickets open to the public beginning Oct. 1. This event is open only to those 21 and older.
