EDITOR’S NOTE: Both exhibits this month have been extended to Oct. 28.
Amanda Zirzow will have a solo exhibition titled Eternity from Oct. 7 through Oct. 28 at the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center in downtown Fort Myers.
The exhibition will feature more than 20 original works of art created in her unique “X-Ray Expressionism” style in the Capital Gallery upstairs. Many of the original paintings displayed will be brand new artworks, never before seen by the public. It will also feature some original work on loan from private collectors all around Florida.
Zirzow is known for her colorful, ocean life artwork and this exhibition will introduce the attendants of the exhibition to a bold new style that Amanda has been working on for the past year. This will be the first time a complete collection of her skeleton style of art will be together in one place for all to enjoy. An opening reception is scheduled for Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. so any avid art collectors and connoisseurs are welcome to be the first to see the collection and to meet the artist in person.
“Amanda Zirzow has been a staple in the Southwest Florida art scene since she started showing her art,” said Cesar Aguilera, the art curator for the Davis Art Center “Her art has always been a favorite during SBDAC exhibitions, especially during Dark Art, not only for her great skills as an artist but her great symbolism and meaningful pieces. We are very thrilled to host her solo exhibition at the Capital Gallery during Dark Art 2022, and I’m sure this exhibition will be a highlight of our 2022 – 2023 season.”
Zirzow stated, “I am proud and excited to display my all-original X-Ray Expressionism artwork at Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center in the Capital Gallery in conjunction with the Dark Art exhibition downstairs.”
