Stunning ceramics, paintings and jewelry are among the multiple mediums of artwork that you will see at ArtFest Fort Myers Feb. 5 – 6 in the River District.
ArtFest is a juried art fair in which a jury of professional artists determines from the 900 artists who apply to be in the fair. Only 200 exceptional artists were selected to exhibit their magnificent pieces in the heart of downtown Fort Myers.
ArtFest is a free event for everyone and also includes art for children, an art for all area, Publix Art Yard and a 5k run on Sunday.
Local artists and those from across the country will be in Florida to showcase different art including ceramics, digital, drawing, painting, metal work, jewelry, printmaking, photography, sculpture, fiber and wood.
The event also encourages around 300 talented local high school artists to pursue their artistic dreams while providing an opportunity for thousands of children, their parents and grandparents to try their hand at creating a masterpiece.
If you enjoy walking or running, you can lace up your sneakers on Sunday morning for the Publix Run to the Arts, a 5K fun run that begins and ends in the heart of ArtFest Fort Myers. Register now to run/walk/roll or stroll through scenic downtown, over the Edison Bridge, and back. For race details, visit www.RunToTheArts.com
