The annual Art by the disABLEd calendar contest sponsored by Arts in Healthcare-Lee Health has announced seven winners.
Artists with special challenges produced 20 entries this year and were on display in the atrium at HealthPark Medical Center. Entries were judged by Lee Health staff.
The winning piece of art created by Ingrid Kellenberger will be in the permanent collection on the fifth floor of the Rehabilitation Hospital in Fort Myers. Ingrid’s piece, entitled “Memories of Austria” will also be the central art for the 2022 Art by the disABLEd Lee Health calendar next year.

Mia McMillen
Second place went to Mia McMillan for her piece “Sorrow.” Third place went to Carol Murphy for her work “Gift.” Four honorable mention awards were also given to area artists with special abilities. They include Gwenn Kranz, Maria DeLeon, Taylor Scalzo and Brian Burns. All winners either received cash awards or a gift card from the Arts in Healthcare program.
