Don’t you just love feeling nostalgic around the holidays? Be sure not to miss “The Happiest Time of the Year,” at the 65th Annual Holiday House presented by the Fort Myers Woman’s Community Club.
Take a step back in time to the “good ole days” when tinsel covered trees and bubble lights were all the rage. Enjoy each of our unique and designer-inspired rooms throughout both houses as you tour the grounds.
A Fort Myers tradition since 1956, the Fort Myers Woman’s Community Club members and volunteers spend hours planning creative designs and days transforming the interior and exterior of the Langford-Kingston and Burroughs homes, including the lawns, gardens and grounds, into magical displays of holiday cheer and décor.
“Holiday House is a wonderful tradition your family should add to your holiday festivities. Our members take great pride in every detail of their room designs and are thrilled to share them with our community each year.” said Natalie Van Horn, 2021 Holiday House chair. “Even Santa is back this year. It’s the closest you’ll get to the North Pole in Southwest Florida.”
Santa will be there Dec. 10 – 12 and Dec. 17 – 22.
Holiday House 2021 will open Friday, Dec. 10, offering self-guided tours through Wednesday, Dec. 22. The hours are 5 to 9 p.m., with the last tour guests admitted at 8:30 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults. Children under age 10 are free. Veterans and active military service members are admitted free with identification.
Advance tickets are on sale now and may be purchased through the Fort Myers Woman’s Community Club website: www.fmwcc.net or on www.Eventbrite. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
The Historic Langford-Kingston Home and Burroughs Home are located in downtown Fort Myers at the corner of First Street and Fowler Street.
“We’ll see you on the porch to welcome you to ‘The Happiest Time of the Year!’ presented by the Fort Myers Woman’s Community Club,” adds Van Horn.
