Sean, Doug and Alex Cameron
Doug Cameron and Sons will perform Friday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. Doug Cameron is one of the true innovators of the jazz violin. Cameron has recorded and performed with a wide range of artists, including George Benson, Doc Severinsen, Tom Petty, Cher, The Allman Brothers and Dionne Warwick. Cameron was exposed to the music and entertainment industry from a very young age. His mother Barbara Cameron had her own radio show on WLW in Cincinnati where she replaced Doris Day and often sang with Rosemary Clooney. Now it has come full circle as Doug’s sons Alex and Sean perform with him in this family program that has become a fan favorite.
Back by popular demand is the award-winning bluegrass band Appalachian Roadshow on Saturday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. Abernathy, Webb, and their talented compadres (including fiddle beast, Jim VanCleve, and legendary upright bassist, Todd Phillips) seek to honor the music, traditions, and history of the great Appalachian people and region. The group takes influences from other sources and applies that Appalachian style, as they’ve done with their version of the Steve Miller Band’s “Dance, Dance, Dance.”
