Area artist writes, illustrates children’s book

Southwest Florida artist Kathy Kuser can add another line to her impressive resume: children’s book author and illustrator.
Her new book, Julia and the Power of W.O.W., takes you on a colorful and rhyming journey.
“Join our fabulous Julia and her magical friend Willy on a journey to discover the importance of friendship and the power of W.O.W.,” says Kathy.
The co-owner of two local event magazines, Kuser has written a fun, brightly colored picture book for newborns to preschoolers.
She is the publisher of Lee Family News & Kid Events magazine which is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2021. Additionally with her husband, she co-owns Happenings Magazine.
The grandmother of seven, Kathy began her artistic career nearly 10 years ago when she became a digital surrealism artist. Her art became so popular, she and her husband opened Reverie and Rock Art Gallery in downtown Fort Myers in 2012. The successful gallery closed five years later in September of 2017 as a result of Hurricane Irma.
