Located at 1400 Colonial Blvd., suite 35, in the Royal Palm Square in Fort Myers, ArtBeat Studios Gallery and Gifts will be closing at the end of the month but will still hold one more big event.
The gallery’s monthly “Meet the Artists” will be held on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. and will feature the music of Dave Berger.

Dave Berger
A graduate of the University of Chicago and a former faculty member of the American Conservatory of Music, Dave has performed professionally his entire life and is fluent in a wide range of styles. While still a student on the south side of Chicago, Dave played in many local blues and R & B clubs with the likes of Albert King.
Performance highlights include a stint touring with the Staples Singers, backing Otis Clay, performances on Italian TV, at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, at the Toronto Gospelfest and even a performance with Yoko Ono. He has played innumerable jazz, rock and society gigs, a wide range of theater jobs, church services, and even a duet for classical guitar and pipe organ.
In addition to producing original music for other artists, Dave composes and records his own material. You can see him locally most Fridays at the Roadhouse Cafe, and in upcoming events with local bands Wildfire and Dockta D and the Powers that Be.
