Artis–Naples suspends rest of season programming

Artis–Naples issued the following statement today:

On March 12, as part of the effort to help stop the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Artis—Naples suspended all programming, performances, exhibitions and events for 30 days as recommended by federal, state and local health authorities. We did not make this decision lightly, but we knew that it was in the best interest of our patrons, musicians, team members, visiting artists and our wider community.

We had hoped to resume our season after April 13, but, as events continue to unfold with this global pandemic, our board of directors has made the difficult decision to suspend the remainder of the Artis—Naples 2019-20 visual and performing arts season out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of all. If you have tickets for events after April 13, we will be in touch with you soon to discuss your options.

While we are, of course, saddened and disappointed by this news, we now turn our focus to when we can all return safely. As we look ahead to the 2020-21 season, we are optimistic about the opportunity to help our patrons recover from the stress and strain of this crisis by providing myriad ways to immerse themselves again in art, music, dance and learning opportunities that can help soothe, heal and comfort.

Thank you for your patience, loyalty and support as we continue to weather this public health crisis. We have missed you, and we will be keeping in touch regularly through email updates, our website (artisnaples.org/coronavirus) and social media. We wish you and your families the very best of health, until we meet again.
