Two new exhibits will open in May at Arts Bonita’s two centers.
Two Sides to Everything: The Art of Joan Sonnenberg will be on display May 2 – June 20 at the Hinman Gallery In the Round at the Performing Arts Center, 10150 Bonita Beach Road.
An opening reception will be held Thursday, May 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center. Dismissing the caveat of adhering to one particular style or manner of thinking, the art of Joan Sonnenberg addresses the dichotomy of abstract and realism by embracing both– teaching us that in life there are always two sides to everything. Joan Sonnenberg is a highly accomplished and prolific fine artist based in Naples.
A high school student showcase exhibit will be on display May 23 – 30 at the Visual Arts Center, 26100 Old 41 Road.
Join Arts Bonita in celebrating the creativity and talent of our local high school students. Showcasing the remarkable works of budding artists from various high schools in the area, this exhibition promises to ignite your imagination and inspire awe.
From vibrant paintings to intricate sculptures, the exhibition will feature a diverse range of artistic expressions, each offering a unique glimpse into the minds of these young visionaries. In addition to showcasing their artistic dedication, exhibiting seniors vie for college scholarships. Witness these young artists as they compete for opportunities to further their education and pursue their dreams in the world of art. A closing reception is planned for May 30 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Meanwhile, two existing exhibits remain on display at the Visual Arts Center through May 16. They are Voices Through Abstraction, a juried show, and A Fusion of Orchids and AI by photographer and former scientist Morris Herstein.
