Sharon Shaw is the featured artist in November at Arts for ACT Gallery in downtown Fort Myers. The gallery will host an opening reception on Friday, Nov. 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. in conjunction with Art Walk.
Sharon has lived many roles, a wife for 54 years, mom of 10 children, former owner of a bridal design business and most recently at age 74, an artist. Her media of choice is oils, but expresses herself as well in charcoal, pastels and mixed media including gold leaf.
Sharon has shown her works at Cape Coral Art League, Rookery Bay Gallery, Lorne’s Gallery, Visual Arts International Exhibit, Pine Island Art Association annual exhibit. She has been a regular participant at COCO Art Gallery in Estero.
Sharon loves to paint water birds, seashells, and plant life inspired by her Florida surroundings. She has expanded to creating “one of a kind” jewelry pieces. Come view her works at the November Fort Myers Art Walk.
This non-profit gallery is devoted to representing the distinctive and offers premium quality original works of art! The monies raised support Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc., the domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking center serving Lee, Hendry and Glades counties.
