Arts for ACT Gallery will feature abstract resin pours and realism from three generations of artists from one family. The exhibit will feature the late Pat Cleveland, a donator to Arts for ACT for over 28 years, her daughter, Bonnie Turner, and her grandson, Brock Turner, throughout June. Also showing will be new works from the gallery co-op artists.
An opening reception will be held Friday, June 4 form 6 to 10 p.m. in conjunction with Fort Myers Art Walk.

Bonnie Turner
Pat Cleveland, at age 3, copied a painting on her mother’s easel … this started a lifelong passion to paint. Graduating from the Pratt Institute of Design in New York, she was an interior designer until she retired. Upon retirement, Cleveland began to paint and was an award-winning artist. She had several solo exhibits across the United States producing mostly realistic art.
As Pat aged, she was diagnosed with macular degeneration and soon became legally blind. Her love of painting continued, but her style changed to abstract realism, becoming a looser painter with more vivid colors. Seeing an ad in an art catalog for acrylic pour paints, she became excited and at 85, explored the wonderful world of You Tube. Watching the acrylic pour videos. She promptly sent Bonnie to the store for supplies. This began the painting of a three-generation family.

Brock Turner
Brock Turner with a construction background soon began teaching the very creative ways to produce an acrylic pour and to have fun as an artistic family until Pat passed away in late 2019. Brock and Bonnie Turner continue to paint to the pour, processing their grief through therapeutic art.
They soon began posting to Instagram, and have taught acrylic pour classes. In recent months, Brock has started his own YouTube Channel and posting on TikTok. He is currently trending on social media.
Pat Cleveland died Dec. 16, 2019, at the age of 85.
This exhibit continues through Monday, June 28.
