Arts for ACT Gallery will feature dreamscape painter B.A. Mintz in the main gallery in March.
An opening reception will be held Friday, March 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. in conjunction with Art Walk.
ACT co-op artists will also be displaying a variety of new works.
Mintz is a painter of landscapes, dreamscapes, sculpture, graffiti and more. As her paintings evolve, figures or objects emerge.
“The beauty of nature, and the sensuality of paint are the perfect combination. Living in Southwest Florida, as well as being able to travel the world, has added subject and inspiration,” says Mintz. “Color and shapes in a stream of consciousness fashion have allowed me to produce paintings that hang in collections across the country. While, I first started exploring painting with acrylics, I now, paint in oils. My first formal instruction in wall art was with SW Florida’s own Gale Bennett. I still hear his voice in my head when I paint, and am an advocate for his method of teaching. The summer before the COVID shutdown, I taught a workshop in Gale’s beloved Giverny, France.
This exhibit continues to March 29. The gallery is located at 2265 First St. in downtown Fort Myers. For more info, call 239-337-5050.
