Spring is in the air and the German American Social Club is happy to welcome the community to celebrate the season with German and Irish favorites and a good dose of German Gemütlichkeit mixed in! Let’s come together to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland in mixed culture with special Irish and German food, music, dancing, and, well, beer!

To mark the springtime and the cheer of St. Patrick’s Day, the German American Social Club will welcome the community to its beautiful Bavarian Gardens to celebrate its German heritage, adding a sprig of Irish fun. The festivities will be held on March 19 and 20 starting at noon.

Featuring live German and Irish music, there will be plenty of opportunity to dance and enjoy our beautiful Southwest Florida outdoors. All three kitchens in the Bavarian Gardens will be opened to offer corned beef, fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, Schnitzel, brats and potato pancakes. And, obviously, beer will be served – German, Irish and domestic

Admission is $5, free for children 12 and under. Parking is free.

The club is teaming up with vendors from the community and local crafts makers. Volunteers from the club are excited as they busily prepare the gardens, the kitchens and the food. The mouthwatering aromas fill the air, underlining the excitement.
The club’s President Stephen Bauer invites “Come on out with friends and family and have a fun day! And come hungry! We’re really excited to be able to share our famous Bavarian Gardens with the community. St. Patrick’s Day with our own special German flair.“

So, bring family and friends. Top ‘o the morning to ya!  And Guten Appetit. See you there.

The German American Social Club is located at 2101 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. For more info, visit www.gasc-capecoral.com or call 239-283-1400.
