Bluegrass and jazz in April at Davis Art Center

The Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center in downtown Fort Myers has another great month of music in April.

Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper
The bluegrass series continues on April 12 at 7:30 p.m. with a performance by Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper.
Widely considered the bluegrass fiddler of his generation, Cleveland has been recognized 12 times as the IBMA’s “Fiddler of the Year” and in 2018 was inducted into the National Fiddlers Hall of Fame. His recording Fiddler’s Dream was nominated in 2018 for a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album, and in 2019, he won a Grammy for his album Tall Fiddler.
In 2019, Cleveland’s amazing life of adversity and achievement was featured in the documentary film Flamekeeper: The Michael Cleveland Story. And in 2022, he was awarded the National Endowment for the Arts Heritage Fellowship. General admission tickets are $45 in advance and $50 day of show.

Jazzy Nights Series presents New Jazz Underground on April 19 at 7:30 p.m.
New Jazz Underground is a trio composed of three Juilliard School Alumni in Jazz- Lincoln Center’s inner circle of young artists who have worked closely with jazz masters ranging from Wynton Marsalis, Victor Lewis and ELEW.
In January of 2021, the band started their YouTube channel and have since built a worldwide audience of over 2 million viewers and 65,000 subscribers as of April 2023 through their viral video performances. Tickets are $45 in advance and $50 day of show.
