The concert will follow the CDC Covid-19 guidelines. The band will be winnowed down to 45 members and be socially distanced. They ask the audience to social distance as well and to wear a mask while walking in and out of the park. There will be no intermission.
Other songs include the popular “Macarena,” “The Simpsons” from the popular TV show, “Disney Film Favorites,” George Cohen’s “Give My Regards to Broadway” and John Philip Sousa’s “The Corcoran Cadets.”
Carolann is a New York City native, now living in Naples. She has toured as Marian in the first national tour of The Music Man and as Maria in the European and Asian tours of West Side Story.
Gerritt brings more than 20 years of professional experience as an actor in independent and feature film, television, commercials, voice-overs and classical, contemporary and musical theatre. He has toured with the Broadway musical The Music Man.
The Bonita Springs Concert Band is under the direction of Gary Smith who retired after 24 years as conductor of the University of Illinois Marching Illini Band. This is the seventh season that Gary has led the band. Gary says “the talent of these musicians is tremendous, ranging in age from 15 to 94.”
