The Bower School of Music & the Arts at Florida Gulf Coast University’s Theatre Program will present Hamlet written by William Shakespeare and directed by theatre professor Barry Cavin in TheatreLab in the Arts Complex at FGCU.
This production will run from April 14 – 23. Performances will be April 14, 15, 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m. and April 16, 22 and 23 at 2 p.m. There will also be a discussion with the cast and crew following the 2 p.m. performance on April 22.
It’s funny how inaction, in the face of tyranny and corruption, can lead to the tragic end of an empire. This is Hamlet today and tomorrow.
The cast includes Tatum Bates as Hamlet, Alexandra Adams as Horatio, Charles Davidson as Claudius, Chloe Chan as Gertrude, Janie Kate Knowles as Ophelia, Liberty Barber as Laertes, Robin O’Connell as Polonius, Karinna Crespo as Gravedigger, Isabella Onken as Osric, Bianca Arello Resin as First Priest, Lily Grace as Player Queen and Katherine Taylor as Lucianus/Gentleman/Sailor/Messenger/ Lord.
Tickets for this event are $10 for the general public and $7 for students and are available for purchase online at fgcu.edu/theatrelab, or at the door, based on availability.
