Cape Coral Arts Studio’s name has been updated to the Cape Coral Art Center.
The Cape Coral Art Center is dedicated to continuing to offer the same great classes, gallery exhibitions, and fine art supplies to the community. This change comes after a full renovation to the store, studios and galleries.
“It’s like a new facility and the name change reflects all of the major upgrades we have made over the past two years” says Julie Gerhard, art center director. Facility upgrades were made possible by a grant from the Florida Department of State Division of Cultural affairs and the City of Cape Coral.
The art center will host Holly Daze Fine Art Sale which opens on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 30 and will be open until Dec. 20. The sale features artwork in jewelry, ceramics, painting, glass, fiber, metals and much more.
The art center’s Inspire: Art Center faculty exhibit reception will be held on Friday, Dec. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. This exhibit showcases the talented instructors of the Cape Coral Art Center and will be on display Dec. 6 through Dec. 26. This is a great opportunity to meet the instructors, inquire about classes and tour the studios.
The art center offers more than 40 classes in a variety of different mediums each week. Classes are offered during sessions including introduction and advanced silversmithing, jewelry, bead embroidery, introduction and advanced glass fusing, polymer clay, ceramics, oil and acrylic painting, watercolor, artisan rings and more.
