Join the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center in October for the fifth annual 2021 Dark Art exhibition as presented by the Syzygy Collaborative Art Project.
The works selected, primarily from local artists, explore the creepy and macabre in art – and celebrate the freedom for artists to pursue the entire spectrum in thematic art.

The infamous Dark Art exhibition is back. A juried selection of the raw, visceral, beautifully dark works created by artists from Southwest Florida will feature painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media projects all dedicated to the celebration of darker themes in art.
Hosted by the Syzygy Collaborative Art Project and the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center, Dark Art is bound to be weird and wonderful, with plenty of surprises in store.
This array of the ghoulish and macabre will be on display in the Grand Atrium gallery Oct. 1 through Oct. 13. The opening reception will take place the first Friday of the month during Art Walk and will feature local live entertainment. Costumes are strongly encouraged. Costumes may not include weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for real weapons.
