Arts for ACT Gallery in downtown Fort Myers will host an opening reception on Friday, Sept. 6 from 6 to 10 p.m. for its featured artists Del Holt and Pam Trent.
The Wonderful World of Del Holt will be on display in the main gallery.
Del Holt, a fine artist and illustrator, was educated in Sweden, Hawaii, California, Arizona and Ohio. He spent more than 10 years teaching art in Arizona and California, and his impressive body of work includes mural, graphic design projects, album and book covers, furniture, and various painting media.
Holt paints his creatures, which range from dogs, to birds to monkeys, within familiar and almost human settings. His canvases refer to our world, often in whimsical and thought-provoking ways.
Holt’s art can be found in the impressive collections of Malcom Forbes, Jan Goodall, William Paley, John Houseman, and H. David.
