Exhibits extended, event updates in Punta Gorda

The Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda has updated its programming schedule following Hurricane Ian.
Join the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce & The Port Charlotte Chamber of Commerce as they “Cut the Ribbon” which will open the Visual Arts Center “Season of Art” on Nov. 1.
Two exhibits continue to be on display in November. They include the Color exhibit in the main gallery which runs now through Nov. 27. Artists express themselves through color and the results are spectacular. This is a juried show that includes both 2D & 3D art. A reception will be held Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. with awards given.
The second exhibit is the Florida Watercolor Society’s 51st annual exhibition in the Goff Gallery and Rebecca Hall. That is on display through Nov. 12.

The Visual Arts Center Gift Gallery, art supply store and galleries will celebrate Small Business Saturday on Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with drawings, hot chocolate and artwork handmade by artists.
The Peace River National Art Festival is Charlotte County’s premiere outdoor juried fine arts show held in Laishley Park every March and December. The festival will return Dec. 3 and 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
