The Visual Arts Center has two exhibits on display now through Feb. 9.
“New Beginnings” is a juried show of both 2D & 3D works. “Then & Now” exhibit is by the Artists Painting Stories group.
New exhibits in February include “In Our World” by Jill Krasner and “Call of the Wild” featuring 2D and 3D juried art. Both exhibits open Feb. 14 and run through March 9. An opening reception will be Feb. 23 at 5 p.m.
The Visual Arts Center will offer a special Valentine’s Day special event.
Bring your love to the Visual Arts Center on Feb. 14. A private table for two includes: Champagne, roses, candy, two cupcakes to decorate, two Valentine cards to make and live viola music by renowned artist Rachel Cox. $50 per couple reserves your spot for this fun and romantic way to enjoy Valentine’s Day.
The Feb. 14 event runs 5 to 7 p.m.
Specialty classes and workshops continue at the VAC in February such as the weekly Create and Sip Social: Baubles and Bubbly, Mosaics and Margaritas, Let’s Get Splashed and Etched Wine Glasses.
Looking ahead, the annual Peace River National Art Festival is scheduled for March 18 and 19 at Laishley Park. The art festival will go from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Admission will be $5.
