The 23rd Estero Fine Art Show presented by HotWorks.org takes place Jan. 4 and 5 outdoors at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers off Daniels Parkway.
Up to 120 quality juried fine art and fine craft artists will be selling art to the public. There is something for everyone, in all price ranges. All art is original and personally handmade by the artist who is present at the art show. Visitors will see many artists at this show who do not participate in other area shows.
Institute for the Arts & Association is the associated 501c3 non-profit organization with focus on visual arts, cultural diversity, community enrichment, and fostering art education among youth. The Estero Fine Art Show is juried by art professionals with criteria for judging based on originality, technique/execution and booth appearance. Our emphasis is on quality, not quantity. There will be $1,500 in professional artist awards presented.
Nathan Beard of St. Petersburg is the artist judge. Beard is an artist himself who works in drawing, collage and multi-layered painting. He draws influence from the density, variety and coloring of Florida fauna.
Show producer and director Patty Narozny has more than 30 years of media and event experience. Since 2003, she has gained an outstanding national reputation for quality juried fine art and fine craft shows and has three of the top 100 juried art shows in America that take place in Michigan and Florida. Narozny networks with local media to bring high-end patrons to spend on luxury art and other items.
As part of the commitment to bring art education into the community, a Youth Art Competition is integrated within the show. Young artists in grades K – 8 or ages 5-13 are encouraged to enter his/her art that is publicly displayed in the art show the entire weekend. Students begin to learn the rules and are exposed to the entrepreneurship opportunity of doing art shows for a living. On Sunday, January 5 at 3pm, $250 in youth art awards is presented under the Youth Art tent. The program brings families to the art show and exposes them to great art. This program is unique and one-of-a-kind within the art show.
Show hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. both days. Art show admission is free; and a $5 parking fee supports Institute for the Arts & Education. For more info, visit online at www.hotworks.org
