Former lead singer of Chicago May 14 on Fort Myers Beach

Lucky concert goers have a new reason to sing along and get on their feet Thursday, May 14 (originally scheduled for March 19)from 7 – 9 p.m. at Fish-Tale Marina, 7225 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach.  Jeff Coffey, former lead singer for Chicago, headlines the last concert of the 2020 Fort Myers Beach Friends of the Arts Concert Series with “Back to Chicago” tribute band opening.

Back to Chicago will open the show and then it will segway into Coffey playing an acoustic set featuring songs from his current album. The evening will wrap up with Coffey joining “Back to Chicago” to jam on the classic Chicago tunes which made fans fall in love with this windy city supergroup.  

Coffey, who hails from Orlando and attended Stetson and University of Central Florida was lead vocalist for Chicago from 2016 – 2018, before joining Eagles great and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Don Felder on tour. Coffey has appeared on NBC, MTV, FOX, E!, HGTV, A&E, Travel Channel and Bravo and has played alongside groups like Hootie and the Blowfish, Edwin McCain, Vertical Horizon and Earth, Wind and Fire.

“Back to Chicago could not be more thrilled and honored to be able to perform with Jeff Coffey. A moment like this makes all the hard work pay off. We’ll be pumped up and ready to rock the Fort Myers Beach Friends of the Arts Concert Series,” said Rick Grootveld, flautist, sax player and founder of the group.
