Fort Myers Mastersingers to perform in March and April

The Fort Myers Symphonic Mastersingers continue their performance schedule for the season under the direction of new artistic director Matt Koller.
Performances will be held throughout the Southwest Florida region and include a variety of masterworks, new works and classical favorites.

See How Love Sees Chamber Concert
The Mastersingers Chamber Choir will perform an afternoon of beautiful music including compositions by Mozart, Dvorak and Brahms, accompanied by Janet Carter on March 3 at 3 p.m. at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Fort Myers. The concert will also feature solos by the 2023 Ruth DeMaster Youth Scholarship winners. This concert is free and open to the public.

Fundraiser – A Classical Afternoon
Join the Mastersingers for A Classical Afternoon, a vocal fundraiser to benefit all three of our choirs on March 10 at 3 p.m. at St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church in Fort Myers.. The concert will feature classical arias with solos and duets from select operas and operettas. Donations will be taken at the door.

Everyday Wonders Spring Concert
On April 7 at 4 p.m. at New Hope Presbyterian join the Mastersingers and City of Palms Youth Choir for a concert unlike any we’ve sung yet! Everyday Wonders: The Girl from Aleppo tells the extraordinary story of Nujeen Mustafa, a Kurdish teenager with cerebral palsy forced by war to flee her home and embark on an arduous journey to Europe with her sister. In this five-movement cantata Nujeen’s story – recounted in her biography The Girl from Aleppo (co-authored by Christina Lamb) – is retold by Kevin Crossley-Holland and richly scored by Cecilia McDowall.

Fundraiser – An American Songbook
An American Songbook on April 21 at 3 p.m. at St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church will highlight historical American songs, featuring singers of all ages from our three choirs. Donations will be taken at the door
