George Worthmore & The Dive-bombers will perform Saturday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at the ACMA listening room.
The sound this trio puts out is toe tapping, foot stomping, good old American music. Front man, George Worthmore has played backup guitar for Bo Diddley, Ben E. King, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Lou Christy and The Platters. He is also a Blues Hall of Fame inductee.
Rounding out this trio is Nat Langston, Sarasota’s fingerpickin’ Whiz-Kid and Chad Clifford, veteran rock and roll bassist. The show is interlaced with humorous comments and amusing stories about the songs. They have been called “the cool side of the pillow.”
Opening the show are ACMA members Pete Bensen and Glen Sabatka. Cost is $12 for members and $18 for non-members.
