Gulf Coast Symphony welcomes folk duo Swearingen & Kelli on Sunday March 10 at 7 p.m. at the Barbara B Mann Performing Arts Hall at FSW as they perform Fire & Rain: Folk Anthems of the ‘70s.
Fire & Rain is a journey back in time to a great era in folk music featuring songs by Jim Croce, James Taylor, Carole King, Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell and Cat Stevens.
AJ Swearingen has been performing folk music for over 20 years. His baritone blends perfectly with Jayne Kelli’s angelic vocals. Inspired by the great ’70s singer-songwriters, the duo is on a mission to share the iconic music of songwriters from the ‘70s.
The show has been a wonderful success across the United States and Canada with the duo performing renditions of timeless classics with The Cleveland Orchestra, The Dayton Philharmonic, the Edmonton Symphony, The Omaha Symphony and more.
