Gulf Coast Symphony has returned to live performances in full season swing. In February, the Gulf Coast Symphony will present 14 nights of performances between the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall at FSW and its own new venue, the Music & Arts Community Center located off of Daniels Parkway in Fort Myers.

Under the Stars:
Broadway with a Twist!
Feb. 2 – 4 at 7 p.m. at Music & Arts Community Center, 13411 Shire Lane, Fort Myers. Tickets are $29.
Under the Stars: Broadway with a Twist features vocalist Martina Long. Enjoy Broadway tunes from Gypsy to Oklahoma! with perhaps a bit of pop and rock music mixed in.
An Andrew Lloyd Webber Celebration
Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. at Barbara B Mann Performing Arts Hall at FSW, 13350 FSW Parkway, Fort Myers. Tickets start at $29.
Andrew Lloyd Webber has composed some of the world’s best-known musicals. When Sunset Boulevard joined School Of Rock, Cats and The Phantom Of The Opera on Broadway in 2017, he became the only person to equal the record set in 1953 by Rodgers and Hammerstein with four Broadway shows running concurrently. Other musicals include Aspects Of Love, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita and Love Never Dies.
Gulf Coast Chamber Orchestra: Shostakovich, Walker, Shoenberg
Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. at Music & Arts Community Center, 13411 Shire Lane, Fort Myers. Tickets are $45. Join the newly-formed professional Gulf Coast Chamber Orchestra for its inaugural performance, featuring Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony (Op. 110a), Walker’s Lyric for Strings, and Schoenberg’s Transfigured Night (Op. 4).
Love & Laughter—A Musical Valentine

Jazz at the Center:
Tribute to Louis Armstrong
Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. at Music & Arts Community Center, 13411 Shire Lane, Fort Myers. Tickets are $35. Louis Daniel Armstrong, nicknamed “Satchmo,” “Satch” and “Pops,” was an American trumpeter, composer, vocalist, and actor who was among the most influential figures in jazz. His career spanned five decades, from the 1920s to the 1960s, and different eras in the history of jazz. This will be performed by the Gulf Coast Jazz Collective.
A Tribute to Jerry Herman & John Kander
Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at Barbara B Mann Performing Arts Hall at FSW, 13350 FSW Parkway, Fort Myers. Tickets start at $29.
The evening will be a tribute to two of Broadway’s greatest writers John Kander and Jerry Herman. Academy award winner John Kander wrote the scores for 15 musicals, including Cabaret and Chicago, both of which were later adapted into award winning movies. He also wrote the standard “New York, New York.” Two time Tony award winner Jerry Herman composed the scores for the hit Broadway musicals Hello, Dolly!, Mame, and La Cage aux Folles. In 2009, Herman received the Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre, and was a 2010 Kennedy Center Honoree.
Elixir of Love
Feb. 25-27 at 7 p.m. at Music & Arts Community Center, 13411 Shire Lane, Fort Myers
Tickets are $49. The Elixir of Love is a delight for all lovers of 19th-century Italian bel canto. Nemorino, a poor peasant is in love with the wealthy Adina, but she only has eyes for the striking Sergeant Belcore. Enter Dr. Dulcamara, a quack who woos Nemorino with a promise: drink the elixir and Adina will fall in love with Nemorino within a day. But, does this strange potion really work? This will be sung in English.
Sunday Night Chamber Music
Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. at Music & Arts Community Center, 13411 Shire Lane, Fort Myers. Tickets are $25.
