Gulfshore Opera offers romantic French melodies and joyful spring concerts

As part of Gulfshore Opera’s growth, the company has added themed recitals highlighting specific countries and languages for an intimate off-season experience.
On May 15 at 2 p.m., indulge in the beauty of French mélodie, popular songs and arias from French operas and operettas at the Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church in Naples. Luiz González, baritone, joins Steffanie Pearce, soprano, and other Gulfshore Opera artists to perform with piano accompaniment in Vanderbilt Presbyterian’s 2021/2022 concert series. Enjoy selections from Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann, Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande, and songs by Ravel, Fauré and Debussy. GO Divas May 19 and 22
Gulfshore Opera’s regionally based women’s ensemble, the GO Divas, are now in their third season. This sought after group will perform two spring concerts on May 19 and 22 featuring rich harmonies, with piano accompaniment.
Audiences will hear familiar music ranging from Mozart to the Beatles. Popular, upbeat melodies are interspersed with beautiful, classical vocal ensembles creating a memorable concert of fine vocal music.
The May 19 concert will be at 7 p.m. at the Gulf Theater in Punta Gorda. Tickets are $25 and $35.
The May 22 event at 1 p.m. will include a lunch buffet with sliced turkey with cranberry relish, chilled salmon platter with dill sauce, and quiche Lorraine before the concert at a favorite private club in North Naples. Tickets are $85.
