Gulfshore Opera: Songs of Ireland in March

Celebrate the rich heritage of our kin from the Emerald Isle with an evening of Irish music on March 10, 12 and 17.
An ensemble including the GO Divas, Vicki Scuteri, violinist, and a percussionist will perform beautiful traditional and contemporary Irish music. The artists will perform several selections in Gaelic with Irish style fiddle and bodhran drum accompaniment. Two of the GO Divas who have extensive dance training, Juliana Alfano and Stephanie Lorenz, will add traditional Irish dancing to the evening’s program. Enjoy songs like Danny Boy and The Last Rose of Summer and Irish melodies made popular by groups like Celtic Woman and The King’s Singers.
The GO Divas include soprano Marie Talley, soprano Juliana Alfano, mezzo-soprano Lauryn Kay, mezzo-soprano Lydia Howery, German american soprano Stephanie Lorenz and pianist Kelly Utterback.
Songs of Ireland will be presented March 10 at 7 p.m. at The Gulf Theater in Punta Gorda. Tickets are $30 and $40.
On March 12, Songs of Ireland will be presneted at 7:30 p.m. at Jewish Congregation of Marco Island. Tickets are $25 and available by calling 239-642-0800.
Songs of Ireland will be performed March 17 at 7 p.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Bonita Springs. Tickets are $35 and $45.
