Here Come The Mummies in Punta Gorda Feb. 17

Big Star Event Services and Gold Entertainment announce the return of the funky undead band of 5000 year old mummies, Here Come the Mummies, who will perform Feb. 17 at Laishley Park in downtown Punta Gorda with special guest Chicago Blues guitarist, Frank Bang.
Their “Terrifying Funk from Beyond the Grave” is sure to get you into them (and possibly vice versa). Since their discovery HCTM has been direct support for P-Funk, Al Green, Mavis Staples, KC and the Sunshine Band, and Cheap Trick; rocked Super Bowl Village; become a regular on The Bob and Tom Show; played massive festivals like played massive festivals like Summer Fest, Summer Camp, Common Ground, Musikfest, and Suwannee Hulaween; and sold tickets by the thousands across large swaths of North America. Some say they were cursed after deflowering a great Pharaoh’s daughter. Others claim they are reincarnated Grammy-Winning studio musicians. Regardless, HCTM’s mysterious personas, cunning song-craft, and unrelenting live show will bend your brain, and melt your face.
2022’s Pyramid Scream Tour was legendary, with triumphant shows at Summerfest in Milwaukee (with a packed house of 5,000), and Illinois’ Summer Camp, among others! Special This busy year also saw the release of “House Party,” a 14 song live record/ Blu-ray featuring all new songs. HCTM appeared on Season 2 of That’s My Jam with Jimmy Fallon Holiday Special.

Frank Bang

Opening the night will be former guitarist for Buddy Guy, Chicago bluesman Frank Bang. With Buddy, he toured the world and shared the stage with the likes of Robert Plant, The Rolling Stones, and Eric Clapton. As a solo artist, Frank has released four critically acclaimed albums under the names Frank Bang and the Secret Stash and Frank Bang and the Cook County Kings. He currently has numerous songs in regular rotation on B.B. King’s Bluesville Station on Sirius/XM.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and show time will be 7 p.m.
