The Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda has a lot going on in the final month of the year.
The Visual Arts Center has its 2022 “Holidays in the Hall” now through Dec. 30. The event celebrates the holidays by offering a large variety of ornaments and small gifts handmade by local artists. The VAC’s Rebecca Hall has become a wonderland of lights, colors and holiday decor. Local artists were given approximately 5 feet of space to decorate with their handmade gifts and ornaments. The result is a fairyland display full of delightful things to buy and give for the holidays.
The Visual Arts Center presents Off the Wall exhibit, a special display of 2D & 3D art that is $200 or less. The Main Gallery & Goff Gallery will host Off the Wall an interesting art display in time for the holidays. All art is $200 or under and when a purchase is made, the customer will take it right “off the wall.” In a regular art exhibit, works must be left until the end of the exhibit, which makes this a cute, eclectic show that all should come and see. Off the Wall will be on display throughout the holiday season Nov. 30 to Dec. 30.
Etched Wine Glasses with Belinda Duclos will be held Dec. 7. Enjoy a fun evening of wine and glass etching. You’ll create a set of playfully etched wine glasses that are dishwasher safe and won’t fade over time. Sessions begin with a glass of wine at 6 p.m. and end before 9 p.m.
Mosaics and Margaritas hosted by Anna Hickner will be held Dec. 14. Each month is a fun new mosaic creation! Enjoy a fun evening of margaritas and mosaic art making. Sessions begin with a margarita served at 6 p.m. and end before 9 p.m. with a finished piece of mosaic art.
The VAC is located at 210 Maud St. in Punta Gorda.
