The 2019 Island Hopper Songwriter Fest returns to The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel, Sept. 20 through Sept. 29.
This showcase, now in its sixth year, is a great way to see singer-songwriters perform in intimate settings on Captiva Island, Fort Myers Beach and historic downtown Fort Myers.
This award-winning festival includes more than 100 live performances (most of them are free) and more than 80 songwriters.
The sixth annual music fest continues to give fans the opportunity to meet the talented artists who write songs for country and rock superstars.
Attendees listened to their favorite songs at live music venues on Captiva Island Sept. 20 – 22 at several island venues.
In downtown Fort Myers, performances took place at The Barrel Room, Twisted Vine Bistro, City Tavern, Pinchers, Social House and Florida Repertory Theatre Sept. 22 – 25.
Songwriters who performed in downtown Fort Myers included Angie Keilhauer, Ayla Lynn, Badger & Rose, Bill Metts, Billy McKnight, Caleb Neff, Danny Myrick, Frank Myers, Gabrielle Macafee, Gianna Minichiello, Gone West, Judy Blank, Julianne Ankley, Kim Mayfield, Kristian Bush, Kyle Anne, Lala Deaton, Mark Mulch, Megan Linville, Ray Cerbone, Robert Bidney, Roy Schneider, Ryan Hurd and Sarah Peacock.
The festival moves to Fort Myers Beach Sept. 27 – 29 with artists playing at various venues.
Island Hopper is presented by Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau, iHeartMedia, Cat Country 107.1 and BMI, the largest music rights organization in the U.S.
