January’s music at Centers for the Arts Bonita Springs

The Centers for the Arts Bonita Springs continues its live music schedule for the 2022-23 season.
The music schedule in the new year includes Odyssey Road: A tribute to Journey on Jan. 6, bluegrass with Monroe Crossing on Jan. 14, Empire Trio on Jan. 21, Victor Wainwright on Jan. 27, The Hit Men of Country on Feb. 10, Lee Rocker of The Stray Cats on Feb. 18, One Night in Memphis on Feb. 25 and Alan Doyle on March 11.

Odyssey Road – tribute to Journey

Odyssey Road: A Tribute to Journey performs Friday, Jan. 6 at 7:30 pm. at Hinman Auditorium. Tickets are $25.
As Journey super fans, this five-piece powerhouse vocal quintet perfectly captures the supergroup’s legendary music and style. Their extreme fandom gives them the passion, and their vocal chops and musicianship give them the ability to perform Journey material with the feel and energy that would have the most loyal fans begging for more. As one music critic said, “Odyssey Road is one of the best tribute bands I’ve ever heard. Hands down! They don’t look like Journey, but they have the sound and arrangements nailed down tight… they cover hours of pure Journey without a noticeable flaw.”

Monroe Crossing

Classic bluegrass with Monroe Crossing can be heard Saturday, Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Hinman Auditorium.
Monroe Crossing performs an electrifying blend of classic bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, original bluegrass and some surprising selections outside the genre. Monroe Crossing’s superb musicianship and their delightful on-stage rapport have charmed audiences around the world. They are favorites among connoisseurs and non-bluegrass audiences—they love introducing newcomers to bluegrass. Tickets range from $32 to $42.
Don’t miss the return of Empire Trio as they breathe new life into Broadway’s classic show tunes on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Hinman Auditorium. Their moving performance includes highlights from shows such as Les Misérables, West Side Story and Phantom of the Opera, mixed with their own breathtaking arrangements—you’ll hear The Sound of Music’s Edelweiss sung in 3-part harmony, The Lullaby of Broadway, and many more! Empire Trio features the mesmerizing voices of soprano Erin Shields, baritone Adam Cannedy, and the versatile David Shenton on piano and violin. Tickets range from $40 – $49.

Victor Wainwright

Victor Wainwright and The Train wrap up the month’s music on Friday, Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Hinman Auditorium.
Back by popular demand is the award-winning entertainer and piano player Victor Wainwright—a raucous, high-octane, dynamic performer who is a crowd pleaser with soul to spare! This restless boogie-woogie innovator stokes the furnace of his band like a charging locomotive—surging forward, shaking up the tradition with his visceral piano style. It’s a musical cocktail served up by Wainwright’s distinctive gravel-flecked vocals. Tickets are $40 to $50.
