Two Southwest Florida artists have joined forces and opened a new studio near the intersection of McGregor Boulevard and College Parkway in Fort Myers.
Julie Griffin and Tracy Owen Cullimore have a new art studio at 9280-7 College Parkway… “the new heART studio.”
Julie is a native of Fort Myers and a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor’s in Fine Art and supporting minors in art education, marketing and art history. She is an oil painter who has specialized in the academic method of painting landscapes and portraiture for the past 16 years. She has twice been invited to The Louvre to paint official copies of Masterworks based on the originals. Julie was also invited to participate in the Louvre Salon De La Copyist Show in Paris in 2012.

Tracy paints in both water media and oil, specializing in figurative work and portraits of animals and people, and she happily does custom commission work. A graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in art history and economics. Her credentials include extensive formal training in advertising and graphic design as well as fine art. Tracy paints directly, alla prima (all at once) by hand, without the aid of drawing tools. Her work is considered to be on the border between realism and impressionism, as she captures more than the essence of her subject.
