Lab Theater performs The Eight: Reindeer Monologues

The Laboratory Theater of Florida will present an audio-visual production of The Eight: Reindeer Monologues by Jeff Goode.
“When a doe says no, it means no.” We all know Santa’s famous sleigh-pullers…but in this smart and scandalous holiday show, Comet, Dancer, Vixen, and all the other reindeer react to charges of sexual harassment levied against the man himself.
The famous eight spill about what really goes on at the North Pole the other 364 days of the year – and they have had enough. There are allegations that good ole Santa may not be the saint we’ve been led to believe all our lives.
Director Brett Marston achieves eight powerful performances with his cast: Kevin Hendricks (Dasher), Clayton Brown (Cupid), Mike Dinko (Hollywood), Imani Williams (Blitzen), Rachel Borwein (Comet), Kinley Gomez (Dancer), Brian Linthicum (Donner) and Jessica Walck (Vixen).
This show deals with mature themes.
Three virtual performances will be available Friday, Dec. 11 and Saturday, Dec. 19 at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m.
Digital passes are $20 and available by calling the box office at 239-218-0481 or at www.laboratorytheaterflorida.com.
The theater has instituted a rigorous pandemic protocol. This protocol incorporates a quarantine model for staff, crew, and cast, and includes, but is not limited to, isolation, temp checks upon arrival, masks for everyone not on stage (limited to one actor at a time), frequent hand washing, and copious hand sanitizer.
Laboratory Theater of Florida performs at 1634 Woodford Avenue, in the Fort Myers River District.
