From local playwrights Patti Caroli, Carole Fenstermacher and Natalie King comes a show as unique as its title.
Laugh, Cry, Pee, Repeat!, an uproarious comedy about womanhood, aging, and everything in between, is showing Feb. 14 through March 10 at Naples United Church of Christ in McSpadden Hall.
No topic is off the table as these women tell it like is, and was, and should be. Through weaving humor and thought-provoking themes, Laugh, Cry, Pee, Repeat! shows us that laughter is the best medicine through humorous and positive characters who are willing to be honest through it all.
At its heart, Laugh, Cry, Pee, Repeat! is not only a good laugh, but a treasure trove of more serious and important takeaways. Through exploring relationships, authenticity, the nature of happiness, and the power of empathy, you’ll go beyond the laughter and gain a greater understanding of yourself and our world – no matter how old.
“Everyone will see a little piece of themselves in this show – young, old, women, men – yes, these are topics that women in older age would discuss, but they’re things that affect all of us.” says director and playwright Carole Fenstermacher.
For “people of a certain age” – whatever THAT is – the play reminds all of us of the healing power of laughter. Who could ask for more?
Fenstermacher is joined by the following team of industry professionals: assistant director Marlene Strollo, scenic designer Michael Santos, lighting designer Chris Riley, sound designer Bradley Van Houten, costume designer Mollie Berman, properties coordinator Amy Hughes, stage manager Esther Snyder and assistant stage manager Victoria Duck.
The cast includes (in alphabetical order) Jo Atkinson, Janie Ballurio, Beverly Canell, Patti Caroli, Marilyn Hilbert and Linda Mizeur.
From Feb. 14 – March 10, performances are on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Laugh, Cry, Pee, Repeat! will be performed offsite at Naples United Church of Christ in McSpadden Hall while The Naples Players’ historic 5th Avenue South building undergoes a $21 million renovation.
General tickets are $49, and season ticket holders are offered a price of $39. Those interested can visit online at anytime or call the TNP Box Office at 239-263-7990.
