The Florida premiere of Let Nothing You Dismay opens Dec. 6 at The Laboratory Theater of Florida.
Set during Christmas in a hospital waiting room, this fast-paced comedy focuses on a couple about to adopt its first child… and then the entire extended family decides to make a surprise visit. Eight talented comedic actors portray 22 different roles.
Artistic director Annette Trossbach adds, “This fast-paced comedy show features 22 wild family members and hangers-on who descend upon a maternity ward on Dec. 25. With lightning-fast costume changes, our eight actors will have you in stitches in this snazzy, new, madcap farce that, in the end, shows that family is what it’s all about. It’s heartfelt, wild, fast-paced fun for the whole family.”

The play features Amanda Collins, David Cooley, Danielle Channell, Scott Davis, Kristen Wilson, Todd Lyman, Holly Zammerilla and Ken Johnson. It is co-directed by Annette Trossbach and Steven Coe, with stage management by Margaret Cooley, set design by Michael Eyth, light and sound design by Jonathan Johnson and costume design by Kristen Wilson.
There will be an opening night reception with hors d’oeuvres by The Gathering Place starting at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6.
