May displays at Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda

The Visual Arts Centre in Punta Gorda has another busy schedule in May.
A reception for Planet Earth exhibit by Birgit Tode will be held May 2 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. Tode’s exhibit runs through May 9.
Get ready to be amazed by the artistic brilliance of our Visual Arts Center staff and instructors as they present Team Pallet in the main gallery May 7 – 24. This exhibition will feature a diverse array of talent including stunning jewelry pieces, captivating paintings, intricate resin art, exquisite pottery, and much more. Our instructors, who are top-notch artists in their own right, will be showcasing their work, giving you a unique insight into their creative minds.
Kate’s Kollection will be on display May 7 – 24. Kate Przepadlo is a lifelong painter and member of the Visual Arts Center. In this one-woman show she displays a variety of her work. “I always found great satisfaction and beauty in creation. “I enjoy many creative outlets, but it is painting that I really get lost in.”

Awakenings exhibit by SAQA-Florida Studio Art Quilt Association opens May 13 and runs through May 24. SAQA is committed to championing the art quilt and the talented individuals behind them. Whether you’re an artist, a collector, or simply an enthusiast, we are here to provide you with the inspiration and tools needed to fuel your love for art quilts. By becoming a part of our vibrant creative community, you can contribute to the movement of establishing the art quilt as a respected form of fine art globally.
A reception is set for May 16 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for the talented artists featured in the shows Team Pallet, Kate’s Kollection, and Awakenings.
Additionally, the Back in Time exhibit and a Paulette Morrissey exhibit will open on May 29 and run into early July.
The Visual Arts Center is located at 210 Maud St. in Punta Gorda.
