Arts for ACT Gallery will hold an opening reception Friday, Oct. 4 from 6 to 10 p.m. for featured artists Maya Poole and Sam Frazer.
Maya Poole was born and raised in Hong Kong. She is a self-taught artist who experiments with all mediums, but finds herself returning to acrylic, gouache and mixed media/collage. She has just relocated to Cape Coral, after a life filled with overseas living and travel, and is enjoying the beauty that this part of the world has to offer. Her exhibit entitled Turquoise Maya will be in the main gallery.
Sam Frazer, 86, was born in Brooklyn and attended the High School of Industrial Art in Manhattan. He began his career as an art teacher before becoming a first grade teacher for 38 years on Long Island. Sam first exhibited his oil paintings in Queens College in 1977 — then was forced into a decade’s long hiatus while he was a caregiver for his ailing wife. He has now revisited his lifelong passion via drawings, paintings and cartoons. Sam’s cartoons will make you chuckle and smile. Cartoons by Sam Frazer will b on display in the white gallery.
Come view these creative artworks from guest artists and support ACT Gallery.
This exhibit continues through Monday, Oct. 28. Arts for ACT Gallery is located at 2265 First St. in downtown Fort Myers.
