Shell Point’s Tribby Arts Center Encore! Season offers jazz, classical, pop and Americana concerts, along with a performance by Gulfshore Ballet.
Benny Benack III will perform on Thursday, April 11 at 7 p.m. With “Third Time’s the Charm,” Emmy-nominated jazz trumpeter and crooner Benny Benack III presents his latest album with his signature panache and charisma, delighting audiences internationally with virtuosic trumpet skills, a smooth voice reminiscent of Sinatra, and a joyful, fun stage presence that engages audiences. Tickets are $30.
Gulfshore Ballet Presents “The Sleeping Beauty” on Saturday, April 20 at 7 p.m. The first collaboration between the father of classical ballet, Marius Petipa, and famed composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, The Sleeping Beauty is the pinnacle of classical ballet. Gulfshore Ballet will present this famous ballet known for its technical challenges, sumptuous sets and costumes, beautiful music, and happy ending. Tickets are $35; $15 for children 12 and under.
The Brandon Robertson Trio featuring vocalist Piper Kemmerer performs Monday, April 29 at 7 p.m. Experience an unforgettable evening celebrating the remarkable contributions of women composers in jazz and the influential singers who have left an indelible mark on the genre. This captivating performance by The Brandon Robertson Trio features top-notch jazz musicians from the prestigious Bower School of Music at Florida Gulf Coast University: FGCU graduate Josue Gallardo on drums, senior Mason Hunn on piano, and the dynamic junior Piper Kemmerer showcasing her exceptional talents on vocals and bass. Tickets are $30.
Looking ahead, the Tribby Arts Center welcomes pianist Javor Bracic on May 2, Danny Sinoff Trio on May 7, pianist Lindsay Garritson on May 14, Roy Rivers tribute to John Denver on May 23, Stardust Memories Big Band on June 6 and Mean Mary on June 13.
