The Music and Arts Community Center will reopen in October and has a busy schedule of performances right away. Operated by the Gulf Coast Symphony, the center is located at 13411 Shire Lane in Fort Myers, just off Daniels Parkway.
On Saturday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m., enjoy the season opening with the Gulf Coast Symphony Chamber Orchestra with a reception with staff and orchestral members afterwards.
Stars at the MACC features Melissa Errico, one of Broadway’s most cherished leading ladies as well as a blossoming recording artist who has been called “the voice of enchantment” by the NY Times. Errico’s performance swill be Friday Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.
A Night of Dizzy Gillespie will be presented Thursday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. The night will feature Brandon L. Robertson, an Emmy nominated director and notable upright/electric bassist who will invoke his trio to perform favorite jazz standards of Dizzy Gillespie.
On Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m., the MACC will host Fresh Voices featuring songwriters Angie K and Karla Davis.
