Naples Art’s commitment to the artists that juried into the 32nd Naples Downtown Art Show has led to their launching of Naples’ first virtual Downtown Art Show starting Friday, March 20 at 10 a.m., replacing the canceled 32nd Annual Downtown Art Show originally scheduled for March 21 and 22. During a time when artists’ most significant shows have been canceled across the country due to COVID-19, Naples Art has dedicated much time and effort to move the entire show online for the world to see, in support of the artists.
The Downtown Art Show will go live Friday, March 20th at 10:00 AM, the original start time of the street show, and will feature works from over 250 extraordinary artists across 17 mediums. All artists will be showcased, rotating each hour on the Downtown Art Show web page, which can also be accessed by visiting NaplesArt.org. The virtual art show will be accessible 24 hours a day and will continue for up to three weeks based upon audience activity. Featured mediums include ceramics, digitalart, fiber/leather, furniture, glass, metal, photography, sculpture, jewelry and more. Patrons will be able to purchase art by using the links to individual artists’ websites.
“This unique online art show is a first for Naples. We’ve never seen anything like this done before, and to be set up within a week is a huge accomplishment,” enthuses Naples Art CEO/executive director Aimee Schlehr, adding, “We value all of our artists and their commitment to Naples Art and understand what an uncertain time this is. We are thrilled to be able to create something this extraordinary, doing everything we can to keep their business going, and hope our virtual patrons enjoy the show.”
