July is another active month for the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda.
The Visual Arts Center is having an art sale now through July 17. This isn’t just any art sale; it is a fire sale of all the donated art that has been gifted to them over the year. They are slashing prices on these one-of-a kind pieces to raise money for youth art programs, hurricane repairs, and operational expenses.
Black and White Morality exhibit featuring B.A. Wikoff will be on display in Rebecca Hall now through July 17, and the Summertime exhibit will hang in the main gallery June 26 to July 17. A reception for both exhibits will be held on June 29 at 5 p.m.

The VAC is inviting artists to participate in a new mural fundraiser by creating original works of art, in a variety of mediums on 5 inch x 5 inch canvases. Collected canvases will be hung together to create a beautiful mural Sept. 14 – Oct. 31. A first choice buyers reception sneak peek will be held Sept. 13. The deadline for artists top submit their work is Aug. 30 at 5:55 p.m. Artists can supply their own canvases or come into the VAC & pick up a few. Each piece will be a 100% donation to the VAC and all the proceeds of the sale of each piece will benefit the Visual Arts center operations.
