The Pine Island Art Association’s Annual Art Show and Sale is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The art league is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
This year’s show location is again off the island. It will be held at the North Fort Myers Recreation Center, 2000 N. Recreation Park Way (off BUS 41).
Southwest Florida residents, art collectors and tourists look forward to this weekend knowing it will be their opportunity to view the current work of so many talented local artists.
Artists familiar with the area are comfortable depicting the vibrant colors and flavor of Southwest Florida. You will find works large and small in acrylic, pastel, watercolor, drawings and oil paintings. You will be able to choose from Florida landscapes, seascapes, flowers, birds, wildlife, beach scenes, boats and sunsets.
Paintings that just seem to belong in your home. All the work has been beautifully framed and ready to hang in your home.
The special Small World category is always a popular section and will be well represented at this show.
There will also be wide selection of the popular PIAA 3 ½ inch X 4 ½ inch mini paintings. Each one has been double matted and signed by the artist. The paintings are just $12. Special metal or wood frames for the minis are available. These paintings are beautiful displayed alone or in a group.
