A poolside concert Sunday with Rodney Atkins at Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina on Fort Myers Beach was the final show of the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest.

The 10-day Island Hopper Songwriter Fest moved the Fort Myers Beach this weekend after performances in downtown Fort Myers and on Captiva Island.
This showcase, now in its sixth year, was a great way to see singer-songwriters perform in intimate settings on Captiva Island, Fort Myers Beach and historic downtown Fort Myers.
This award-winning festival included more than 100 live performances (most of them are free) and more than 75 songwriters.
The sixth annual music fest continues to give fans the opportunity to meet the talented artists who write songs for country and rock superstars.
Attendees listened to their favorite songs at live music venues on Captiva Island Sept. 20 – 22, downtown Fort Myers Sept. 22 – 25 and on Fort Myers Beach Sept. 27 – 29.
The finale was a ticketed poolside party with Rodney Atkins and Jerrod Neimann at Pink Shell Resort. The duo Striking Matches opened the afternoon event. During Jerrod Niemann’s set, he invited Peyton Davis on stage to sing.
Island Hopper was presented by Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau, iHeartMedia, Cat Country 107.1 and BMI, the largest music rights organization in the U.S.
Festival featured sponsors included Happenings Magazine, Victory Layne Chevrolet, Pinchers, Landshark, Bon & Viv Spiked Seltzer, BOSE, DiamondHead Resort, Blue Chair Bay Premium Rum and Zoom Tan.
